This is not terribly well-understood by doctors and scientists but it’s pretty well-established that smokers are more likely to become infected with the human papillomavirus, which can cause warts, including the ever-popular warts of the genital variety. Medical research studies have found that women who smoke are up to four times more likely to have genital warts.
