6. Indoor “accidents”
Although it takes a bit of patience, it really isn’t all that difficult to train a dog to restrict bathroom activities to the great outdoors. Once most dogs are trained, they are normally very good about “holding it” until they can be let outside to relieve themselves. This is why it’s worth paying attention when your dog starts having accidents while indoors. While it may seem like they are doing it just to inconvenience you at the worst possible time, there’s usually a good reason for it. Sometimes it’s due to a urinary tract infection and at other times joint pain could be making it difficult to make it outside in time.
