3. Coughing
It might not be something you have witnessed yourself but dogs do actually cough. This is something that is not likely to go unnoticed but do not make the mistake of dismissing it like we often do when someone we know catches a bit of a cough that may accompany a cold. For dogs, coughing is something that you need to talk to a veterinarian about as soon as you can because it can signal a problem such as lung disease, heartworms or other types of heart disease. There’s also the possibility of kennel cough, which can be serious, especially for bulldogs, pugs, and boxers.
