Conditions that may have once been dismissed as just “nervousness” or being “high strung,” are now being recognized as genuine disorders, and many people who suffer from anxiety disorders are not even aware of it and are getting no help as a result. Some anxiety is inevitable as we go through life, but having anxiety constantly is certainly not normal, and can be very detrimental to health, and even shorten your life. It’s not always easy to tell whether the level of anxiety you are dealing with is normal, or should be evaluated by a professional. Here are a few signs that may indicate you may actually have an anxiety disorder and might want to consider seeking help to treat it.
1. Too Much Worry
This is not surprising since just about everyone worries about things once in a while. When worrying goes beyond what would be considered normal is when you should start to question whether or not you have an anxiety disorder. Constant worry is something to be wary of, especially if you are not even sure in your mind what you are worried about. If you worry so much that you find yourself feeling frazzled and worn out because of it, it’s a good indicator that you should seek help.
