14. Renting is maintenance-free
When you own your home you are completely responsible for any repairs or improvements that need to be done. Having someone else handle repairs or general handyman work is going to hit you in the wallet if you aren’t a DIY kind of person. Home repairs can often be painfully costly and you can avoid all that when you rent. Whether it’s a clogged drain or a leaky roof, a simple phone call is usually all that’s required to get it fixed for free when you rent.
