6. $2 per drink
You probably won’t find to many customers that agree with this calculation, but as many as 8 percent of bartenders who were asked felt that a $2-per-drink tip was quite appropriate. While this might not seem too out of line for a fancy drink that requires a lot of preparation, expecting $2 for mixing up a gin and tonic may be a bit too much for most customers to even consider.
