2. Standing chest flies

Popular as they may be, chest flies are to be handled with care. Standing chest flies, in particular, are not bad exactly, but the problem is they just don’t help you work out your chest at all, so if that’s your goal, you’d be much better off spending your time using another machine, as the strain in this exercise is put on your shoulders. A good alternative to this is the chest-press machine and the pec deck.
